How We Ship

We have negotiated shipping rates with Canada Post, Canpar UPS and DHL. Because we ship 99% of our product, we have established commercial tier rates with each of these three carriers. We extend our negotiated, discounted shipping rates to you.

For shipments in Canada, we ship with either Canada Post or Canpar.

  • In our experience, over the last 2 years, Canada Post and Canpar have about the same speed of service year-round and the same level of customer service.
  • Canpar is a cheaper option for orders that are multi parcel. If we have an order that has a total weight of over 45 pounds, in most cases we will opt to split that order into multiple parcels and send with Canpar
  • If we are shipping to a highly rural and/or PO Box then we will use Canada Post as Canpar does not deliver to PO Box addresses

For the USA we ship with either Canada Post (which gets handed over to USPS), UPS and DHL.

  • In our experience over the last 2 years, DHL has a much higher level of service and delivers packages much faster than USPS/UPS. The downside is DHL manages this at up to double the price of USPS and UPS.
  • If we are shipping an order that has a weight over 45 pounds, it may need to be split into multiple parcels due to weight restrictions and at that point the pricing with DHL or UPS can become more affordable than USPS
  • If an order is pressed for time, DHL is the best option
